About Chris

I'm Chris Gorski, and I'm running for one of the two open seats on the Town Council this November. My wife, Michelle, and I chose Cape Elizabeth to raise our two children, both at Pond Cove School, and we live here year-round.

I sit on the town's Board of Zoning Appeals, which rules on variances and code-enforcement appeals — applying the ordinance the same way for everyone, even when neighbors disagree. I'm also the volunteer audio engineer for the Middle School musical; my job is to make sure every kid on stage can be heard.

I've spent my career in software engineering, much of it in the public sector, including work with Congress, the National Science Foundation and the intelligence community, plus campaign-finance and election data. That work taught me to take public money seriously and to welcome hard questions.

I'm not running with all the answers, and I'd be one vote of seven. I'm running to listen, do the homework, show up prepared, and work with the other six — so Cape Elizabeth's government gets a little more collaborative and a little less dramatic.
